Many visitors reach Block Island by way of their own boats, docking at a marina or anchoring in either of the island’s harbors. Old Harbor, which is located in town, is the closest harbor to the inn, so it is suggested to dock here rather than New Harbor.
By Ferry:
Block Island Ferry provides year-round service from Point Judith, RI. This is the only ferry that can take vehicles to the island, and it is highly recommended that vehicle reservations be made in advance. Passengers do not need reservations and ample parking is available for a fee. This ferry takes a little under an hour. In the summer months, additional service from Newport, RI is provided. By High Speed Ferry:

Block Island Express:
The Block Island Express connects New London, CT to Old Harbor, Block Island in just over an hour via high-speed catamaran. By Plane:

Directions to The Bellevue House, once on Island
From Old Harbor:
Walk, drive, or bike straight ahead to the main street called Water St, turn left, and walk half a block to the stop sign (The Empire Theatre will be on your right) Take a sharp right onto High Street, we are three houses past the Health and General Store on the right.
From New Harbor:
A cab ride is recommended, as it is a 30-40 minute walk.
